We are thrilled to announce an exciting initiative to inspire a love for reading children: 100 Days of Reading, a new challenge is starting soon!
The idea is simple yet powerful: read every single day for 100 days and celebrate the joy of books. Everyone who participates will be a winner, and along the way, participants can achieve various milestones.
Here’s how it works:
- Daily Reading: participants commit to reading every day, no matter how much or how little, anything counts! Books, magazines, newspapers, words on the TV, e-books, even the cereal box!
- There is no formal daily schedule, just ask your child to place a sticker, color, check, or cross off the reading tracker.
- Achievements: Prizes will be awarded for:
- The most books read (lots of genres!)
- The most words read
- The most chapters read
- Exploring new genres
- Persevering through challenging books
- Reading their first chapter book
- Reading their first word independently
- Mixed media reading
Celebration on Day 100:
On day 100, we will celebrate everyone’s success with:
- A special “100 Days of Reading” t-shirt for all participants
- Awards, certificates, medals, trophies
- Recognition of milestones, ensuring everyone is and feels celebrated
This program is about encouraging a lifelong love of reading and building confidence in every child. Together, we can create an engaging, rewarding experience for all.
If you or any family member would like to join our challenge, please get in touch if you would like to purchase a booklet, EVERYONE is welcome to read!
